GAYNDAH SILVER WHIP CAMPDRAFT 2013
With numbers up the Draft got a early start on Friday, and continued to roll along over the weekend. The extra lights were used to cut the fog in thecamp inthe morning.
Moist air from showers created a foggy start on Saturday. Sections of the competition were tight, with some competitors completing 4 or 5 good runs.

KRAGRA CAMPDRAFT 2013
All gathered at the old school ground for the campdraft. The sportsground came alive with dads, mums, kids and grand kids and lots of horses – a real family affair. Kragra started off hot but the shower of rain after midday cooled things off. The beasts won the finals, with a majority of riders getting cracked. Things are looking good for next year with improvements to facilities in the wind. The committee greatly appreciated the support of their sponsors who themselves have suffered during the recent disasters. Wade Knudsen picked up the Maiden Draft while Michael Hayes won the novice.

South of Monogorilby the competition was on at Kragra. The ground was dry and dusty for horses and riders. And the kids had their own camp or played in the pit. Riders from around the area competed for the trophies.
Gayndah Silver Whip Campdraft 2012
The decision to run a 2.5 day campdraft was a partial success, with the encouragement and novice not being attempted because of safety concerns. The final of the open was re-evaluated.
The pearls were worn to match the dry as a bonez. No points were awarded for the wet shirt look. Cattle seemed to react to the incoming weather.
The bugger of it all was that all left for home Sunday morning and the sky was clear and the sun was out by 11am.The ground would’ve still been too wet. The ladies had to have run offs in the cutting out and the draft too.
Mt Perry Campdraft 2012
Here are some runs from the Open Final and LadiesSection of the Mt Perry Campdraft. The novice had a high attrition rate in getting out of the camp.
There was plenty of fellowship Saturday night. At times the dust made it difficult to see the gate. This time i couldn’t get action in the camp.

Kay Radke will be “ringing dem bells” after picking up her 5th Golden Bell at Eidsvold.Clear weather and good stock for big fields of the Open, Maiden and Novice drafts made the running for the prizemoney hard work. Then Saturday night it was Party Central with Mark Postle as m.c for the Eidsvold Star Buckin’ Bull and an exciting table dancing competition.
Some of the dancers hit the sack at 2am then to wake up for the 6am Ladies draft.
