2011 Gayndah Orange Festival in the street

This is some of the activity at the Gayndah Orange Festival on Saturday. Despite being a bleak drizzly day a good crowd were on hand for the parade. Street activities were cut short due to electrical problems but the action continued at the pubs. The races were on and the rodeo and football are part of tomorrow's activities

Mt Perry Woodchops 2011

There was a gathering at the Perry when word got out that Ol Dinga was having a bbq the next day.
29 axes turned up with shiny blades as good as cut-throats to get the chips and firewood. In their singlets and shirts there was the long and short, young and old, thick and thin. They sliced and diced, huffed & puffed, and raised a sweat to gather the wood.

Tree Climbing 2011
